Floral Headpins, Flowers and Disc Beads

Students Must Bring: Didymium Glasses, Apron, Pin Vise or Small Hemostat – required and must hold 24 gauge wire. Jim Moore Step-Down Tweezers, or new petal press – preferred (email Jim at toolsforglass.com)
Glass Tools – tweezers, presses, paddle, nippers, shears/scissors, etc. 8 – 1/8-inch mandrels, 5 – 3/32-inch mandrels, Striker or matches, Flower Press (optional), Leaf Presses (optional), Heart Press (optional).
A limited number of presses will be available for use in class. Glass rods in complementary colors, glass packs will be available for purchase in class.

Students Must Bring: 5-disc beads with 1/4-inch holes, round is optional. Floral headpin components created on 24 gage nichrome wire (3-5 floral headpins, 1 focal flower, 3-5 leaf headpins, 3 ball headpins, 3 bud headpins). Hand tools (flush cutters, bent chain nose pliers, chain nose pliers, round nose pliers, flat nose pliers, bench block and chasing hammer) Dentist tool with curved tips, Bead caps misc. 3-4mm beads (optional), Cobra Coiler (Wire coiler). Teacher will have floral components and disc beads for sale. Teacher will have a few wire coilers in class for use. Teacher will have limited hand tools available for use.

Students Must Bring: Students should bring basic hand tools, pliers, cutters, etc.; Safety equipment Apron, nitrile gloves and eye protection. Battery operated lights and magnification are optional and recommended. Students are invited to bring their own beads and dried organic materials.
